ENGLEWOOD! Had to do a shout out one time for them. Antwon Jarell Gibbs aka TwonDon, is hands down one of the hardest working rappers I know! He displays incredible talent on and off the mic and is a lot more than just a rapper. TwonDon is also a director, songwriter, entertainer, and entrepreneur and he’s only 18 years old! This kid is definitely someone not to be taken lightly. This Englewood, NJ native has an outstanding combination of music that combines his NY roots and NJ swag. TwonDon delivers both lyricism and party vibes in his music and reaches all types of people. Did I mention TwonDon is also the man behind Upper Class Entertainment? Holding down the 2 0 1, TwonDon has many more tricks up his sleeve. I advise everyone to keep their eyes on this kid.
TwonDon has gotten great recognition by some of our popular music industry artists/DJs such as Fred The Godson, Travis Porter, Lloyd Banks, Waka Flocka, Future, DJ Jazzy Joyce, Bobby Konders, DJ Camilo, and many more. TwonDon’s hard work and success earned him the title of ‘Most Requested Artist’ on Street Market Radio with AD the General. This unstoppable kid’s music has even been aired on NYC’s Hot 97 for his 2011 summer single “Hula Hoop.” This summer single received play time for 4-8 weeks straight by Hot 97′s Bobby Konders. But wait, there’s more! Hot 97 Boston’s DJ Chubby Chub also gave TwonDon air play after he remixed Wiz Khalifa’s “Black & Yellow” with his version “Green & White” as a dedication for the New York Jets. The Jets players loved and acknowledged the song so much that it led TwonDon into getting more radio play on 92.3NOW FM by Nick Cannon. Nick Cannon mentioned TwonDon to be “a real emcee on his grind”. I couldn’t agree more with Nick Cannon. There’s no argument that TwonDon has made himself a force in the music industry at such a young age.
His most recent mixtape “False Advertisement” was hosted by DJ Ill Will who has also hosted for Bow Wow, Soulja Boy, Wiz Khalifa, and Sean Kingston. This project clearly displays TwonDon’s growth from when he first started out until now. The flow and production of this mixtape is on point! I hope to see more collaborations with DJ Ill Will and TwonDon.
